At Williamstown Swimming and Life Saving Club we have a dedicated team of qualified volunteer trainers and assessors. All trainers have undertaken the Surf Life Saving Australia Training Officer's award and have then conducted training under supervision.

The assessor team have completed the Surf Life Saving Australia Assessor's award and are current trainers as well.

Some of the Training and Assessment Team have also competed their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Training is offered to Club members mostly free of charge however occasionally the need to charge a  fee is required. This fee is to cover the costs of a course.

Most life saving qualifications are now nationally recognised and usable outside of Club activities, this includes the Club offered First Aid Certificate.
